Happy 5th Birthday to my nephew, Davis. He broke from the "norm" this year and opted for a character-themed birthday much to the chagrin of his mother. Spiderman is the "must-have" party theme for all of the "cool" 5-year olds at his school, so Rachel's visions of a classic, creative and wholesome party went out the window and instead she filled up her cart at Walmart with Spidey merchandise and viola... it was a party! Rachel did put her foot down at the store-bought invites and she & Davis designed their own. It just makes me giggle because as Davis gets older, his "preferences" start coming out. He is a one-of-a-kind kid who is funny, eager to learn, eager to please and has the heart of gold. I love you, Davis!
